Welcome to my classical guitars collection

About this web site

I would like to use this web site to showcase and sell items from my collection of the finest concert level classical guitars – I have personally and very carefully selected these guitars based on quality of sound, construction materials, visual beauty, and solid workmanship.

As a guitar enthusiast myself, I haven't been able to avoid developing close affinity towards a few of these instruments and those I would like to keep for my own playing pleasure – however most of the collection is for sale and I would like to reach out to the Classical Guitarists and offer them the opportunity to own fine instruments at reasonable prices. If any of my guitars interest you - Please feel free to contact me.

If you don’t see an instrument of your interest, feel free to return later on as I am actively augmenting this collection and have new high quality instruments being constructed to my specifications – if you would rather like to have a custom instrument built to your own specifications, please call me anyways, I will gladly tell you how I can broker an exceptional instrument for You.

Please click the links located on the left side of this page or use the navigation menu located across the top of each page and enjoy looking at some of the finest classical guitar instruments in the world!

About the instruments quality

The classical guitars in this collection are concert level instruments of the Spanish Guitar tradition; most of the presented guitars were made by Spanish master artisans, however you will also find a few excellent representatives made by American Luthiers, in at least one case, modern experimental guitar construction techniques were applied.

In my selection efforts I have visited the Spanish cities of Madrid and Granada and have met the guitar constructors personally. In the majority of cases, and after discussing and observing their construction methods, I have obtained my guitars directly from the luthier artisans. Some of the instruments also came from reputable American and Spanish luthiers through third party vendors.

This collection also includes non-artisan guitars which I bought at local instrument stores - I obtained them because when compared with identical or similar models, I was greatly impressed by their acoustic qualities and sheer beauty and therefore saw great musical value in them. All my guitars are built with the finest and noblest tone woods...such as Brazilian and Indian Rosewood, German Spruce, Canadian Cedar, Ebony, etc.

About the Instruments sound

In the web as well as in books, I have read staments similar to the following quotation: "round sparkling unusually quick singing trebles, firm focused basses, warm dark well defined sound overall, excellent balance and sustain,…" – Descriptions in the abstract in my opinion do not convey to the reader the actual sound of a particular instrument as much as it might be an accurate perception for the writer of such type of sound descriptions.

In this site, I will avoid describing what I think is impossible to describe in words, I will instead state that each of the instruments that I have acquired and are presented in this site do emit individually beautiful singing voices in all registers, and greatly impressed upon my personal taste.

About the Instruments care

All of my guitars went from the workshop or store to my temperature/humidity controlled studio, where they remain. I call my studio “guitar heaven” and there I make sure that the instruments get the highest standard of care possible.

About the guitar pictures

I never attempted to take guitar pictures before and therefore I must apologize for those real bad ones, I had no idea how difficult it is to master the required technique … My skills as guitar photographer are slowly improving though and I will continue working hard to get better at it and thus update this site accordingly.

About me (…just a little)

My name is Raul and I make a living as Software Engineer. I practice classical guitar just about every day for 2-3 hours - In addition to my guitar collection, I own a large library of classical guitar sheet music, a very large library of recorded (mostly CD’s) classical guitar music, and a well stocked music related book shelf. So far my favorite place to visit and to buy my Guitars is the city of Granada in Spain where I have made wonderful friends and have obtained remarkable instruments.
